News By Chris Wilkin News Editor Essex Police A FORMER Essex Police special constable has been found guilty of gross misconduct after sharing posts containing offensive language on Twitter. It was alleged that Special Constable Kieren Morrison retweeted 22 posts which contained language which was offensive, discriminatory and derogatory between 2018 and 2019. The posts were retweeted from a personal account while the officer was off duty. He resigned as a special constable on May 5 this year.

Stansted Airport jobs 'hanging by a thread' warns union

UNION bosses have warned that thousands of jobs are "hanging by a thread" at Stansted Airport. Unite claims huge numbers of jobs could be "swept away" without urgent action by central government to stabilise the aviation sector. Stansted is the biggest employer in the east of England, with 1,765 staff directly employed by the airport and more than 10,200 people working for nearly 200 companies based there. They include aircrew, ground staff, engineers and retail, transport and other roles.
