SAD and MAC scores functioned similar to WIfI but with minimal resource expenditure. Despite its potential, few studies have expanded on the original dataset.

In 2021, Ferraresi et al.proposed a scoring system(SAD/MAC) offering insight similar to WIfI(Wound-Ischemia-Infection)classification with minimal cost/expertise required. Given the sparse yet promising data on SAD/MAC,we investigated its utility in advanced diabetic/ischemic wound care.
