On Friday, April 19, singer-songwriter Taylor Swift released her eleventh full-length studio album, “The Tortured Poets Department.” The album’s 16-track standard edition, which embraces synth-pop and folk-pop genres, includes collaborations with recording artist Post Malone and indie rock band Florence + the Machine. Swift followed up the standard release with the addition of “The Anthology,” a double album containing 15 bonus tracks.

On Thursday, April 18, Sonoma State University’s Art Gallery premiered its annual student exhibition to campus visitors. Five students expecting to graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree presented various original pieces of art in different sections of the gallery. The artwork ranged from oil paintings to handcrafted sculptures. The exhibit will be open for visitors until Saturday, May 18.

Student singers and musicians unveiled their talents and competed for a trophy at the April 6, showcase On Saturday, April 6, SSU’s Associated Students Productions (ASP) hosted their annual showcase, Seawolves Got Talent, in Ballroom A on the Student Center’s third floor. Lasting from 7 to approximately 8:15 p.m., the ticket and price-free event comprised eight performances featuring 10 students and one SSU alum.
