1 Introduction The requirements placed upon metal components are undergoing a continual increase. Functionality and performance are required with decreasing component mass. These conflicting requirements present a challenge for which various approaches have been developed. Tailored Forming represents one approach to the production of bulk metal components with load-adjusted properties.
