Christopher has made a career as a professional travel writer, photographer, lecturer, tour escort and moto-journalist since 1983.

Named the Lowell Thomas Award 2008 ‘Travel Journalist of the Year,’ he has been honored with many other awards, including ‘Travel Journalist of the Year’ by both the Caribbean Tourism Organization and Jamaica Tourist Board.

He is a member of the Society of American Travel Writers and North American Travel Journalists Association.

How is social media changing news?

I'm concerned that the market is becoming so accustomed to snipper information that the long-form feature is in less demand

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

Word is essential, but I still write articles as often as not with pencil and paper. I always have at least five browsers open for research

Facebook is the only social network forum I use on a daily basis
