Luckily, things have calmed down for the Green Lantern Corps, so they can finally have some moments to themselves. But what new issues will that downtime bring to the surface, and what new threats will it attract? This is such a fun issue of Green Lantern Corps! It takes me back to the X-Men Blue and Gold days, when the characters could step away from the superheroics and have a chance to be people.

The Deadman series continues to take Boston Brand on one bizarre afterlife adventure after another, and thankfully, DC Comics has given the series even more room to explore: the book will now expand to 12 issues, which is excellent news for fans enjoying W. Maxwell Prince and Martin Morazzo’s strange, hilarious, and surprisingly heartfelt take on Deadman. Boston Brand continues his duties escorting souls into the next realm, but Mr. Juan and his creepy Ghost Things have complicated the job.

The Green Lantern Corps, along with the other Emotional Corps, finally reaches its showdown with the Manhunters, and Morgan Hampton brings this current arc to a satisfying conclusion. Hampton teams with pencilers Fernando Pasarin and Juan José Ryp, inkers Oclair Albert and Juan José Ryp (pulling double duty), and colorists Arif Prianto and Matt Herms to deliver a dynamic finale packed with action, emotion, and plenty of Lantern spectacle.
