Christopher Gerlacher’s Biography

I started my çareer as a freelance writer straight out of school before securing a full-time job covering the US sports betting industry.

Each sports betting state has its own requirements, standards, and other quirks, so each new state beat has revealed new information about how sportsbook companies and their regulators are evolving alongside each other.

Today, I contribute to The Center Square, covering state races in competitive states and districts. I've focused on New Jersey's 7th District House race and Nevada's Senate race.

In my spare time, I've also been published in Free Inquiry, a secular humanist magazine that covers a wide variety of topics related to atheism, secular humanism, and living without religion. My articles focus on applied ethics, history, and searching for new answers to old questions about morality.
