Interview
What was your first job as a journalist?
I monitored international news sites, pick the latest and odd stories and write for broadcast.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
It's a privilege to tell stories to the public. It is a challenge to keep up with the increasing demand and threat of misinformation.
What's your favorite social network?
Twitter!
Why did you become a journalist?
After college, an opportunity opened for me to become a multiplatform reporter. I took the chance and joined a news organization.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I did once as a sports writer during high school.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Don't settle for one source. Maintain balance reporting. Always write/report for the public's interest.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Pen and notebook.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That I am an enabler of the opposition party because I cover the Office of the Vice President.
