PEWAUKEE — It’s on to the prestigious 2026 Winter Olympic Games for Jadin O’Brien of Pewaukee in Cortina, Italy. O’Brien, a winner of numerous national collegiate track and field championships in the heptathlon and pentathlon over the last four years while competing at the University of Notre Dame, earned a spot on this year’s women’s bobsled team last Sunday. She was awarded one of the final spots. She will compete with the women’s two-person bobsled team at the Cortina Sliding Centre.

Plenty of local flavor on state-champion Dashers

MADISON — There was a Waukesha County look on Tuesday afternoon to the Divine Savior Holy Angels WIAA Division 1 state championship girls golf team. Of the six players who competed on Monday and Tuesday at University Ridge, four live in Waukesha County. DSHA won its third consecutive state championship by dominating the competition. The Dashers finished the 36-hole tournament with a score of 621, defeating second place Brookfield East (641) by 20 strokes.
