A new $135M consolidated California Military Department complex is being built in Rancho Cordova, Calif., for all branches of the department. The 285,000-sq.-ft,. multi-building campus will be home to all of the California Military Department's "four pillars": the California Army National Guard, California Air National Guard, California State Military Reserve and California Youth and Community Programs.

Crews continue working on an $80 million project to enlarge and stabilize a 2-mi., 62-year-old tunnel containing a new 24-in. sewer pipeline in Laguna Beach, Calif. Workers are enlarging the tunnel that runs from Three Arch Bay to Aliso Beach from an average diameter of 6 ft. to an average diameter of 9 ft. The South Coast Water District Board approved the project in 2010, followed by approval of the Laguna Beach City Council in 2013.

Round Rock, Texas, will be a major attraction starting in 2020 when a new convention center, graced by the world's largest indoor water park, opens. Kalahari Resorts is building a $550 million, 345.2-acre complex that will include 1,000 guest rooms; between 150,000 and 200,000 sq. ft. of meeting space; outdoor pools; five restaurants; a spa; arcade; and retail space. Groundbreaking took place on May 15. The facility is scheduled to open in 2020. The 200,000-sq.-ft.
