All participants were recruited from Shanghai Yangzhi Rehabilitation Hospital from April 2020 to October 2021 (Additional file 2: Fig. S1). This clinical trial has ceased recruiting participants, with the first participant enrolled in April 3rd, 2020, and the last participant enrolled in September 3rd, 2021, respectively. The study protocol was approved by the Ethics Committee of the Shanghai Yangzhi Rehabilitation Hospital (YZ-2020–019).

However, the plasticity of bone marrow hematopoietic cells in leukemia have remained largely unexplored. In this study, we aimed to investigate cell changings in hematopoietic cells through lineage tracing across various types of leukemias.
