Silver phosphate-based melamine–formaldehyde polymer for reduction of mono, di, and tri-nitrophenols under ambient conditions† Herein, silver phosphate nanoparticles decorated with melamine–formaldehyde polymer nanocomposite (Ag3PO4-MFP) were fabricated.

Ligand L, N,N'-([2,2'-bipyridine]-5,5'-diylbis(methylene))bis(4-nitrobenzamide) is synthesized in high yield (91%), which possesses a bipyridine (bpy) unit in the central position for binding of transition metal ion, two terminal H-bond donor amide ‘-CONH-’ units (for binding of anions in both side of metal coordination) along with single methylene (-CH2-) spacer between bpy and amide groups.
