Investigating the risk of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease in young patients with psoriasis versus non-psoriatic inflammatory skin diseases
Abstract Psoriasis has been proposed to be associated with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) through shared inflammatory pathways; however, the NAFLD risk in young psoriasis patients remains unclear. This study aims to investigate the risk of NAFLD in young patients with psoriasis versus non-psoriatic inflammatory skin diseases. We utilized data from the TriNetX global collaborative network, including patients aged 18–30 years with psoriasis or non-psoriatic inflammatory skin diseases.
