1 Introduction In eukaryotic cells, long-range transport of intracellular cargoes, including organelles, vesicles, and mRNA, relies on microtubule (MT) tracks. The molecular motors dynein and kinesin drive bidirectional transport along MTs, moving cargo towards the minus and plus ends, respectively (Figure 1A).
