Social Media has democratized and decentralized news. Everybody is a journalist and every device/platform is a media outlet

What does it mean to be a journalist?

To be a journalist is to be the conscience of the community. The one who says it as it is, and lets others pick a side.

Why did you become a journalist?

I wanted to tell the stories that no one else would tell

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Build connections, write stories you believe in, blow your trumpet loud and do not let the hunter tell the lion's side of the story
