There was a time I was sure I’d be great. Not just good, not just successful, actually great. A household name. A force to reckon with. Someone whose life would be studied, whose words would be quoted, whose story would echo beyond time. I thought I was going to change the world. I thought my life had a special purpose, and I would have failed woefully if I didn’t fulfill that destiny. Looking back now, I see that almost everything I did was geared towards that destiny.
