1 INTRODUCTION In 2018, an international consensus defined sleep bruxism (SB) as ‘a masticatory muscle activity during sleep that is characterised as rhythmic (phasic) or non-rhythmic (tonic) and is not a movement disorder or a sleep disorder in otherwise healthy individuals’.1 This definition comes from the current evidences that SB is principally centrally regulated2 and that it is considered a different behaviour then when it occurs while awake.

Association between night pain and quality of life in women: a general population sleep study

Abstract Background Women with pain present decreased sleep duration and quality of life, but little is known about the consequences of nighttime pain on overall health. Our goal was to compare levels of anxiety, depression, and fatigue in women with pain during the night with those without pain. We hypothesized that pain perception is associated with the worsening of fatigue and mood.
