2. Materials and Methods All procedures were approved by the North Dakota State University Institution for Animal Care and Use Committee (#A19035). 2.1. Animals and Treatments Thirty-six half-sibling Angus bulls (291 ± 8.5 d of age; mean initial body weight (BW) = 320 ± 2.7 kg) originating from a commercial cattle herd at the Central Grasslands Research Extension Center near Streeter, ND, were used in this experiment.
