What We’ve Learned by Staying at Stanford For ten years, my wife and I have served as Resident Fellows (RFs) at Stanford, living among undergraduates in a role equal parts teacher, neighbor, counselor, and institutional translator. It’s not a job in the nine-to-five sense, though it involves plenty of labor. And Stanford’s not quite home either, though it has held holidays, heartbreaks, and countless home-cooked meals.

I want you to write more because there are things only you know and can say. Selfishly, I want to read what you write. It'll probably feel good to write more. You're probably better at writing than you know. You likely have more to say than you think. So, I'm going to try to convince you to write more by tackling some reasons you're not already writing. I bet some part of you loves to write. It shows whenever you rewrite a text or rethink an email.
