Claire Fuller’s Biography

Hi, my name is Claire. I am a video editor and content creator with a passion for creating/editing across digital platforms. I am currently editing content for influencers and businesses, delivering attention-grabbing content! I'm currently pursuing a degree in General Studies at the University of Louisville! I have also attended the University of Western Kentucky and originally went to Jacksonville State University on a D1 volleyball scholarship.

What was your first job as a journalist?

My first real job in the video field was editing for Alexa Hendricks; a fitness, fashion, beauty, and lifestyle influencer. This role allowed me to develop my editing skills and gain insights into the content creation process. Working closely with her, I gained a lot of experience how to enhance the quality of the final video, which has been helpful in shaping my approach to content today.

Have you ever used a typewriter?

No.

How is social media changing news?

Social media is transforming the news landscape by making information more accessible and immediate. It allows news to spread in real-time, often faster than traditional media outlets can publish. Platforms like Twitter, TikTok, and Instagram have become key sources for breaking news, where journalists and everyday users can share updates instantly. Social media also gives a voice to underrepresented perspectives, enabling independent creators and citizen journalists to reach wide audiences. However, it also introduces challenges like misinformation, as the speed of sharing sometimes outpaces fact-checking. Overall, it's reshaping how we consume and engage with news.
