Claire is a writer, editor and reporter who is passionate about community engagement and telling stories through the use of data. She currently works as a content editor with the audience and data teams at the Chicago Tribune. Prior to joining the Tribune, she worked as a freelance journalist, served as a production assistant for WTTW, Chicago’s PBS station, and interned for Tribune Publishing's branded content studio, Studio 1847.
Claire is a recent graduate of DePaul University, where she received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in journalism with a concentration in data journalism. At DePaul, she served as the engagement editor for the university’s award-winning magazine, 14 East, as a contributing writer for the DePaulia and as president of DePaul’s chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.
Originally from St. Louis, Claire has happily called Chicago her home for the last five years. She enjoys covering local politics, environmental issues and public health.
