What was your first job as a journalist?
My first journalism job was working as an associate editor for 14 East Magazine at DePaul University.

Why did you become a journalist?
I've always had a passion for reading and writing. In college, that passion transformed into a love for storytelling.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
The story I'm most proud of was an investigation into tree coverage in Chicago for WTTW, Chicago Tonight.
What's your favorite drink?
Nothing beats an iced coffee while you're working on a story!
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
I love to read 14 East Magazine! As an alum, I still always read the magazine's weekly publications and newsletters.
