The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service has rescued 18 suspected victims of human trafficking following an intelligence-led operation at Kwabenya here in the Greater Accra Region. Addressing a press briefing in Accra on Tuesday, 21 July 2026, the Director-General of the CID, COP Lydia Yaako Donkor said the victims, aged between 15 and 24, were allegedly trafficked from Nigeria and forced into cyber-enabled fraud.
