What was your first job as a journalist?
I interned at the Mid-Ocean News in my home country of Bermuda during summer + winter breaks from Penn. There was no internet on my computer.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Start at a local or regional newspaper or a trade publication. You'll learn to really report rather than re-blogging or posting cute gifs.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Early morning via email, and not on the weekends please! A girl has to sleep.
