The Town Crier held its annual high school intern party June 9 to thank the students for their contributions to the newspaper and to say goodbye to the seniors who are bound for college. Three of the seniors received scholarship money from the Town Crier for their exemplary work, dedication and leadership: Maya Dutt (Homestead High), Amalia Tormala (Palo Alto High) and Dorie Xie (Los Altos High). Juniors and seniors from 11 high schools interned at the Town Crier during the school year.

The initiative put forth by ForLosAltos that would require voter approval prior to Los Altos City Council making any changes to publicly owned parking plazas in Los Altos will now get a second round of impact reporting. Faced with three options, Council last night voted unanimously to exercise its third option and ordered a report on the impact the initiative would have on the fiscal, physical, economic and other conditions of the city if it became law.
