Fluoride‐Transfer Asymmetric Allylic Alkylation Enables Regiodivergent, Stereoselective Cross‐Electrophile Coupling
Asymmetric allylic alkylations (AAA) are amongst the most powerful catalytic strategies for constructing C─C bonds in stereoselective manner.[1-4] Conventional AAAs, catalyzed by transition-metal complexes[5-9] or chiral Lewis bases,[10-13] usually employ allylic electrophiles bearing carbonates or acetates as the leaving group (LG). Upon catalytic activation, the ionized leaving group deprotonates the pronucleophile, thereby becoming a by-product of the reaction (LG─H, Figure 1a, top).
