A great weekend is in store, with seasonably warm highs in the 70s - and potentially the 80s in some areas - setting the stage for a welcome warm-up as June arrives. Saturday started off cool, with temperatures in the 50s, before warming into the 70s by the afternoon, especially near the lake. NBC 5 Storm Team Meteorologist Claudia Olech said a cold front will likely move in, bringing a slight breeze and some cooler temperatures, along with a beach hazard.

Despite a foggy start, clear and sunny skies join us today as an isolated chance sticks around. A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for the entire area through 9 a.m. Visibility has dropped to a quarter of a mile in spots, give yourself a few extra minutes heading out the door this morning. Mostly sunny skies are on the menu for our Wednesday. Temperatures will climb back into the middle 80s. This afternoon still features a chance for an isolated shower or storm to bubble up.
