2.1.3.6 Microwave Irradiation The microwave irradiation method for the preparation of CD inclusion complexes begins with the formation of a homogeneous paste, obtained by mixing the guest compound with CD in defined proportions. A small amount of an aqueous or hydroalcoholic solution is then added to the solid mixture to achieve a workable, paste-like consistency. The resulting paste is then subjected to microwave treatment under controlled power and time conditions.

1 INTRODUCTION Chlorophylls (Chls) consist of a hydrophilic head (porphyrin), a lipophilic hydrocarbon tail (phytol group), and a central magnesium ion bonded to the tetrapyrrole ring (Nabi et al., 2023). Due to their lipophilic hydrocarbon chains, Chls are generally considered to be insoluble in polar solvents (Ebrahimi et al., 2023). Stored mainly in chloroplasts, only two types of Chls (a and b) are present in higher plants, whereas others (c–f) are found in algae and bacteria.
