Public health officials are investigating a deadly listeria outbreak linked to ricotta cheese sold along the East Coast. The cheese, manufactured by Clover Hill Dairy in Maryland, has caused eight hospitalizations and one death so far, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The cheese was sold in North Carolina, New York, Virginia, Maryland, New Jersey, and Washington, DC. It could've been further distributed to other states, too, according to the Food and Drug Administration.
