What was your first job as a journalist?

I was a local events columnist for the Warren Tribune-Chronicle in Warren, Ohio.

Have you ever used a typewriter?

Yes! In this century, even, believe it or not.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

I write either from my Mac mini or my iPhone, depending on my mood. I do almost all of my writing in markdown, using Bear, then import to WP.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

Probably my ongoing coverage of the evolution of smart home tech, especially with Matter on the horizon.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Practice your trade, improve your writing, and be persistent without being pesky.
