Imagine that you are a voter reading a publicized survey of candidates' policy positions before casting your ballot for a national election. The survey includes questions answered by politicians running for office in your district. One item asks: “Do you agree or disagree with banning donations from businesses and organizations to political campaigns?” Out of the five candidates, four selected “agree,” publicly aligning with a stance widely perceived as safeguarding electoral fairness.
