1 Introduction The event-related brain potential technique (ERP) is widely used in psycholinguistics to investigate language processing. Studies to date have identified several components linked to language processing, with the N400 and the P600 being the most studied components. Despite the many and varied studies, a clear understanding of the specific processes the N400 and P600 reflect is still lacking (cf., Kluender 2021).
