REVIEW – “Rivage” pairs a fantastic atmosphere with average puzzles
Isolation is a key element in some atmospheres of gaming. When people think of isolation, the ever-expanding oceans of Subnautica or the sprawling galaxy that comprises No Man’s Sky come to mind. Despite being less daunting than games like No Man’s Sky and not as terrifying as Subnautica, Rivage still manages to capture an atmosphere of isolation that drives the story forward.
REVIEW – “Cultic” is a boomer shooter that’s fun and horrific (in a good way)
Cultic is a phenomenal blend of fast-paced boomer shooter action and atmospheric horror. Set in the mid-20th century, players take control of a disgruntled detective who rose from the brink of death to take revenge against the cult that nearly killed him. Throughout Cultic’s lengthy campaign, players fight through churches, crypts, graveyards, and more in a rural American community. When I first started playing Cultic, my main concern was the variety of levels the game would offer.
REVIEW – Despite some misfires, “Truxton Extreme” is good at its core
For the first time since 1992, the Truxton series returns with its newest title, Truxton Extreme. With high-octane and vertical shoot’em up action, just how extreme does Truxton Extreme get? In a futuristic earth, governed by AI, humanity is at peace. With no war or conflict, humanity throws aside its weapons. But when the Geranium attack Earth and its colonies, humanity is forced to find a way to fight back.
REVIEW – The scariest aspect of “Observer: System Redux” is the high possibility of getting a headache
Observer: System Redux is a psychological horror game set against the backdrop of a war-torn, corporation-controlled Poland in 2084. Observer is heavily inspired by giants of the cyberpunk genre, such as Blade Runner and Cyberpunk 2013, as reflected in the game’s art direction and playable environments.
REVIEW – The more you play “Pokémon Champions,” the less unique it feels
by Conor Ross | Mobile Nintendo Switch Nintendo Switch 2 Reviews | 0 Comments | Traditional Pokémon games are spent catching Pokémon, battling with them, and leveling up your party so that you can tackle tough gyms on your way to the Elite Four. In Pokémon Champions, you are the gym leader. No more fighting through wild Pokémon or grunts who stand between you and the gym. As the Gym Leader, you are the king of the castle. Pokémon Champions has an emphasis on battling.
The real crisis of Adolescence
While Stephen Graham’s new drama ‘Adolescence’ may exaggerate the links between knife crime and the digital manosphere, as well as the presence of violent misogyny in white working-class boys, it does paint an accurate picture of modern schools. The second episode of the limited series shows a school wrestling with the aftermath of the murder of one student by another student, following the detectives as they navigate from classroom to classroom asking for help in their investigation.
Classical education can solve our school behaviour crisis
If the discourse within Australian education is to be believed, our classrooms have never been more inclusive, collaborative, interactive, empowering, and fun. At the same time Australian primary and secondary students have never been as disruptive, aggressive, disengaged, and miserable. In classroom behaviour, Australian students ranked 33rd out of the 37 OECD nations, leading to calls for classroom behaviour to be explicitly taught as an academic subject alongside English, Math, and Science.

Deathbound Demo: An Interesting New Soulslike With Great Ideas
Over the years, the Souls genre has become increasingly popular. FromSoftware created a challenging genre with engaging and addicting gameplay. Of all the “Soulslike” titles that have come out of the woodwork over recent years, Deathbound has been one of the more intriguing entries I have tried. When trying out the Deathbound demo on Steam, I was met with an interesting world, gameplay with an engaging twist, and unique mechanics.

Twitch Streamer Luality beats Shadow of the Erdtree boss with a dance pad and motion controls.
Since the release of Demon’s Souls in 2009, FromSoftware has become renowned for its souls games, even spawning a “souls-like” genre. These games have become known for their difficulty, rewarding players who have the patience to defeat their challenging bosses and enemies. But for some, this challenge isn’t enough.
How to Access The Shadow of The Erdtree in Elden Ring
FromSoftware has always been somewhat obscure in how it approaches some aspects of its games, such as storytelling, dialogue, quest progression, and other gameplay mechanics. These unconventional, non-linear aspects of its games have become part of why people adore them so much, but they can cause confusion for a few players. With the arrival of Elden Ring’s highly anticipated expansion, Shadow of The Erdtree, some may be confused about how to access the expansion and its contents.
Ylands review (Switch): Don't go down with this ship
I’ve always been interested in the open ocean, sailing, pirates, and anything that fits that bill. YLands, while not necessarily a “pirate game,” has some of those themes. I was intrigued by the concept of the game, and I’ve got an itch for survival crafting. Unfortunately, despite my interest in it, the negative aspects greatly outweighed the positives during my time playing it. Despite some interesting ideas, YLands often falls flat, leaving the player feeling more annoyed than anything else.

a purty pig
By C. Ross News spread across the county, across barnyards and dinner tables – McGil’s pig liked to sit in his chair. Then they started saying the pig liked to smoke McGil’s pipe while it sat in his chair and that sometimes it read from women’s magazines. Wasn’t long before ears beyond the shadow of their mountain were soon begging to hear more, so naturally, the papers sent their best to find the truth to this hogwash.
