1 Introduction The Mountain Bongo, Tragelaphus eurycerus isaaci, is endemic to mountain forests of Kenya and it is classified as critically endangered (IUCN 2017). Recent population estimates indicate that only 96 animals remain in the wild (Svengren et al. 2017). These individuals live in five small, isolated populations located in Mount Kenya National Park, Aberdare National Park, Eburu Forest and Mau Forest.
