What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Cell phone voice recorder app, and Otter.ai for transcription. PACER for court documents
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Learn from others' work. Also, be your own editor; make sure your piece is as high quality as you can make it before submitting.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Hiking, painting or reading
