Introduction Diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) is central to the diagnostic workup for patients with glioma (Barajas et al., 2016; Kolakshyapati et al., 2017; Zeng et al., 2018; White et al., 2019). A sign of poor prognosis is the presence of tumor hyperintensities on the DWIs, which are often referred to as regions of reduced diffusivity.
