Abstract Gen3 is an open-source data platform for building data commons. A data commons is a cloud-based data platform for managing, analyzing, and sharing data with a research community. Gen3 has been used to build over 30 data commons by different organizations around the world. To set up a Gen3 data commons, you first define a data model.

ABSTRACT There is currently no strategy for the permanent waste disposal or recycling for used nuclear fuels from research reactors. For this reason, low-temperature reactions have been developed for the chlorination of the Al alloys and subsequent separation from used nuclear fuels to reduce the volume of high-level waste in storage. Three sulfur chloride reagents – S2Cl2, SOCl2, and SO2Cl2—were tested, and two were found to quantitatively chlorinate Al metal and Al alloys under mild conditions.
