How to classify your SMSF as a wholesale client: A compliance guide for trustees and advisers
AFCA’s view is that, in these circumstances, section 761G(6) requires the SMSF itself to satisfy a $10 million asset threshold. Because AFCA applies this interpretation when determining complaints, the issue has significant practical implications for trustees, advisers and product providers. Recent AFCA determinations have also demonstrated that an incorrect wholesale classification can itself become an issue in a complaint, particularly where retail client protections have been denied.

SMSFs: A strategic solution for intergenerational wealth
According to the Productivity Commission, inheritances and gifts have more than doubled since 2002 and are projected to quadruple in real terms by 20502, driven by ageing demographics and booming household wealth. This seismic shift, often characterised as Australia’s “wealth tsunami”, is already unfolding.

How society’s indifference murdered a man in Paris
When I was 22, I flew to Berlin for a weekend. I sat in a café, drinking a surprisingly strong beer, watching the world stomp by. I noted an old man, hunched, unstable, hobbling slowly on the other side of the road. He fell. I watched the old man on the cold floor, from the warm comfort of the café, and considered crossing the road to help. But the streets were busy, so I thought by the time I reached the fallen man, someone would have emerged from the hubbub to help him back to his feet.
How IP Licensing Can Cost Small Entity Status
Cheat Sheet USPTO fees. The United States Patent and Trademark Office assigns fees based on the size of the entity. Licensing. Licensing a patent may affect the entity status of the patent. Consider the sum. A patent may be licensed to multiple unaffiliated small entities as long as they remain unaffiliated. The equation changes if relationships become closer. Alternatives.

5 Songs You’d Never Guess A Guy Like Craig Stone LOVES
It’s funny how social interactions can determine how you present yourself, and who you let inside to see the real you. For instance, I grew up as a guitar playing skater wannabe who lived for punk rock and heavy metal music. The people I surrounded myself with were very clear about the look, the feel, and the sound of our group of friends. God forbid any of us actually enjoyed something that the others didn’t…sound familiar?

This Dad's Tweet About Overcoming Depression Is A Powerful Reminder That It Gets Better
More than 16 million adults in the United States suffer from depression, according to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America. It can be an incredibly scary thing to go through, especially as a parent, knowing just how scary the world can be and what your child might have to encounter along the way. But this dad's tweet about overcoming depression will show you that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and there is so much more to live for.
Never A Dull Moment On Winnipeg Transit

This Old Man Rocking Harder Than Anyone To Metallica Is Just The Best
There’s something so great about cranking the windows down and cranking the radio up. Â This old man knows how to do it better than everyone else.
Did You Know That There’s FINALLY An Official Music Video For Elton John’s “Tiny Dancer”?
I don’t know how I missed this (and I feel like a failure as a music fan for it), but apparently a couple of weeks ago, there was an official music video made for one of the most iconic songs in rock n roll history….45 years later!! Madman Across The Water is by far one of Elton John’s finest records and ‘Tiny Dancer’ was the big song from it. Â How does a modern day music video hold up to a song that’s 45 years old?

Watch Chris Cornell’s Final Performance
In this world of concert goers not being able to put the camera phone down at shows, it’s quite common to be upset that people aren’t living in the moment. Â But on a day like today, because of our obsession with having our noses in our phones, the world gets to see the very last song that Chris Cornell ever performed.
Royal Blood Just Put Out Their New Video And You Can See It Right Here!
When a brand new band has rock gods like Jimmy Page and Dave Grohl personally giving them their blessing, we as fans know that we should probably be paying attention to these young bloods. In 2014 Royal Blood released their debut album (which was incredible), and followed it up by touring relentlessly and cultivating a solid following around the world.
There’s An Emoji Movie Trailer Out Now, And The Best Part Is (obviously) The Poo Emojis
Under normal circumstances, I would never suggest that you go see The Emoji Movie (yes somebody actually made an emoji movie).  But the juvenile moron deep inside me saw the poo emojis in the trailer, and I figured that maybe you’d have the same curiosity about how they could make poo into a legitimate character in a movie.
Watch This Tornado Make A Car Disappear Right In Front Of Your Eyes

No More Smoke Breaks At The MTS Centre
Winnipeggers enjoy a rare luxury that not very many other people do when they go to hockey games and arena concerts. In between every period and band that finishes its set, the good people of Winnipeg who smoke are allowed to exit the arena, fill their lungs, and come back in. Smoke em if you got em because starting September 1st the rules are changing, and you will no longer be allowed re-entry to an event. It’s true look here.
Watch Two Men SCRAP IT OUT On Board A Flight From Japan To Los Angeles
While Delta Airlines is having paying customers dragged off planes for doing nothing, the flight attendants on this Japanese airline just let brawling customers duke it out. What would you say to someone who paid over $400 for a pair?

Yeah it’s called From Cradle To Stage: Stories From The Mothers Who Rocked And Raised Rock Stars, and it finally came out. Some Kid In Winnipeg Is Probably Sweating Right Now After A Late Night Fire Ripped Through A Local Playground
It’s impossible to know for sure who started this fire in Harbourview Park, but do you remember all of the stupid things you did as a kid growing up? I sure do, and one of them was definitely playing with fire in various playgrounds late at night. Luckily nothing ever got out of hand and I never had to make the decision of either confessing or taking my secret to the grave. I’m guessing that some kid, somewhere in Winnipeg is pretty nervous right about now.

Watch This Drunk Driver Get Better Air Time Than Any GTA Video Game You’ve Ever Seen

Age Of Electric VS Craig Stone In The Power97 Studio
Todd Kerns and Ryan Dahle came in to the Power 97 studio this afternoon and we had a proper BS session. Me coming here from Vancouver, and those guys being stationed on the West Coast for quite some time now gave us plenty to talk about before we got into the meat of the interview. It was a pleasure to talk to both of these incredibly down to earth and genuinely interesting human beings.
Today Marks A Very Sad Day In Music History For Two Reasons
Just like December 8th, April 5th is a particularly bad day for rock n roll. It’s bad enough when we lose one icon, but for some reason on this day we lost two MASSIVE influences on the world of rock. Kurt Cobain died of a self-inflicted gunshot to the head. At the time he was a hero and the main creative force behind Nirvana, the band that was changing the face of contemporary rock n roll.
This Is How We Crank It Up On Friday Nights!
Get your party hat on and crank your radio tonight from 10-11. Here’s a quick preview of what’s coming up on The Power Hour.
Here’s The First Look At The Remake Of Stephen King’s “IT”
Back in the early 1990’s there was a made for TV movie that came out and scared the crap out of any kid who’s parents didn’t pay attention to what their children were watching. I distinctly remember the sleepless nights and being afraid to look at any family pictures after Stephen King’s ‘IT’ came out. And it’s that very same fear that’s got the very same kids from that time period excited for a proper Rated R theatrical remake.
Drinking Beer Could Be The Best Thing In The World…How About Eating Beer?
How many times have you been drinking an ice cold beer and thought ‘wouldn’t it be great if I could be eating beer at the same time?’ Okay probably not all that often, but the idea of getting drunk off of food could be a lot of fun right? Of course it could, except that’s not what this is about.
