Craig Springer’s Biography
Words have a way with me. I enjoy catching native trout, or walking behind my Lab the color of a biscuit in the blue grouse woods of northern New Mexico. If my wife and children are with me, all the better. I retired from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, a biologist, after 33 years. Authored and co-authored three books. America's Bountiful Waters (Stackpole) is my favorite; Education: Hocking College, A.A.S., recreation and wildlife; New Mexico State University, B.S. fisheries science; University of Arizona, M.S. fish ecology; University of New Mexico, M.A. rhetoric and writing. Theses on hydrology and stream habitat modeling, and on the rhetoric of nature and conservation. It's all rhetoric.
