INTRODUCTION Still's disease is a multifactorial inflammatory disease first described in children at the end of the 19th century by Sir George Still,1 who termed it “systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis” (sJIA). In the 1970s, Eric Bywaters observed similar clinical and biologic features in a group of adult women, leading to the adoption of the term “adult-onset Still's disease.”2 Recent studies3, 4 demonstrated that Still's disease is a continuum across ages.
