What is not settled, and what remains urgent, is how faithfully we will honor that history by tending the lives and learning entrusted to it now. With the help of a $1.6M Mellon grant, the historic HBCU launches a Nashville-built digital archive of Black education history. Crystal deGregory Guest Columnist Fisk University has launched a digital portal for its Julius Rosenwald Fund Collection, making it accessible to the public. A $1.6 million grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation funded the digitization of the historical records. The online archive was built in-house by a team at Fisk University, including students.
