Investigating Fabrication — LessWrong
Note 1: This was originally published in 2021. I'm now re-publishing it in 2023 as the penultimate post in The Nuts and Bolts Of Naturalism, as a demonstration of the method. I intend to publish a collection of much-more-complete demonstrations in the future, and I plan for them to explicitly discuss each step as I've described it in the sequence. For now, though, I hope that this partial demo will give you a taste of one way the overall process can go.
Staring into the abyss as a core life skill — LessWrong
It does not take luck to find someone who can help you stare into the abyss. Anyone can do it. It's pretty simple: Get a life coach. That is, helping people identify, face, and reason through difficult decisions is a core part of what life coaches do. And about all the questions that Ben cobbled together at the end (maybe not "best argument for" — I don't like that one) can be found in a single place: coaching training. All are commonly used by coaches in routine work.
