Greek organizations set up around Weber State University’s campus for Rush Week, a weeklong opportunity to get to know the school’s fraternities and sororities. Rush Week is the best time and place for students to interact with the organizations and find out if Greek life is the life for them. WSU has a long history with Greek life. The organizations are rich with tradition and offer students invaluable opportunities to develop close friendships and experience personal growth.

“It’s a symbol,” said Yasmen Simonian, Dean of the College of Health Professions, on the brand-new Ezekiel R. Jr. and Katherine W. Dumke Center for the Interprofessional Education in Healthcare Building. On Sept. 4, this symbol was made a member of Weber State University through a ribbon-cutting ceremony and an open house. The IPE Building has been under construction for a little over a year.

Dr. Andrea Easter-Pilcher, Weber State University’s Dean of the College of Science, draws on her experience at St. George’s University in Grenada and with wildlife and conservation biology to make plans for the college’s future. Though Grenada and its surrounding Caribbean islands are considered paradise by some, Easter-Pilcher was born in Missoula, Montana and says the Rocky Mountains are just as much a paradise to her. “We loved Grenada.
