Lignin-carbohydrate complex-based polyurethane elastomer with outstanding mechanical strength, photothermal efficiency, and enhanced recyclability
The depletion of fossil resources and the intensifying issue of plastic pollution have spurred an urgent demand for polymers derived from biomass. Utilizing biomass-based polymers not only mitigates greenhouse gas emissions but also advances the pursuit of carbon neutrality [1], [2], [3], [4]. These polymers encompass polylactic acid (PLA), polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA), polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), and polyurethane (PU).
Catalytic reactivity of Pt sites for non-oxidative coupling of methane (NOCM)
Development of shale gas and tight oil reserves could lead to a projected increase in the natural gas production of 100 % by the year 2050 [1]. Methane accounts for 70–90 mol.% of the shale gas feed composition depending on the location of the shale gas source [2]. Despite the large availability of this carbon resource, current methane conversion methodologies are limited.
Enhancing biocompatibility, mechanical properties, and corrosion resistance of laser cladding β-TiNb coatings

Silver chalcogenide loaded V2CTx MXene-molecularly imprinted polymer-based novel ratiometric sensor for the early predictive cancer marker: L-Fucose
Introduction L-Fucose (FU) is 6- deoxy hexose in L-configuration which is found in the enormous diversity of mammalian cells producing glycolipids and glycoproteins [1]. FU is attached at the N-, and O-glycan ends and glycolipids are catalyzed by 13 fucosyltransferases, playing a vital role in immune regulation, biological system functions and cancer [2].

Influence of perioperative anaesthetic and analgesic interventions on oncological outcomes: a narrative review
Cancer is the second leading cause of death worldwide, resulting in 9.6 million deaths in 2018, and the overall global incidence of new cancer cases is predicted to increase from 14 million in 2012 to 24 million by 2035.1x1Pilleron, S., Sarfati, D., Janssen-Heijnen, M. et al. Global cancer incidence in older adults, 2012 and 2035: a population-based study. Int J Cancer.
Persistent luminescence found in Mg2+ and Pr3+ co-doped LiNbO3 single crystal
Persistent luminescence (PersL) was found in Mg and Pr co-doped lithium niobate perovskite-like single crystal. Bright red afterglow emission was observed at room temperature for LiNbO excited by a wide range of near ultraviolet light, wherein the defect states associated with Mg ions are demonstrated to play essential role. We propose a charge relaxation mechanism, based on transition between mid-gap defect states, to describe the PersL phenomenon within the trap-detrap scenario.
Vascular surgery-related organ injury and protective strategies: update and future prospects
Whilst there has been a reduction in the prevalence of peripheral vascular disease worldwide, a significant proportion of the world's growing population is still affected by disease of the aorta, carotid, iliac and lower limb arteries. These if left untreated can result in severe morbidity and mortality.
