Early and High-Dose Glucocorticoid Use and Survival in Advanced NSCLC Receiving Immune Checkpoint Inhibitors: A Multicenter Target Trial Emulation
WHAT IS THE CURRENT KNOWLEDGE ON THE TOPIC? Systemic glucocorticoids are commonly used during immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) therapy, but their immunosuppressive effects have raised concern about potential attenuation of ICI efficacy. Prior real-world studies have yielded inconsistent survival findings, partly because of confounding by indication, immortal time bias, and limited consideration of exposure timing and dose. WHAT QUESTION DID THIS STUDY ADDRESS?

Pinacolborane-assisted superacid organocatalysis enabled direct access to cytotoxic alkyl N-Cbz amines
Highlights • Pinacolborane-assisted superacid catalysis toward alkyl N-Cbz amines using carbonyls • Robust catalysis achieves a general substrate scope with reliable scalability • The formation of protonated pinacolborane enables reductive amination with carbamates • Cytotoxicity against human cancer cell lines is demonstrated Summary α-Secondary alkyl amines are structural motifs frequently encountered in a wide variety of natural products and pharmaceuticals.

CD74 Promotes a Pro-Inflammatory Tumor Microenvironment by Inducing S100A8 and S100A9 Secretion in Pancreatic Cancer
1. Introduction Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is an aggressive cancer characterized by a poor prognosis and high mortality rates. Despite improvements in treatments, the incidence of pancreatic cancer is increasing, and it is ranked the seventh leading cause of cancer deaths worldwide [1,2]. Approximately 80–85% of pancreatic cancers are determined as unresectable at the time of diagnosis, contributing to the low patient survival rates [3].
Discovery of Biomarkers Related to Interstitial Fibrosis and Tubular Atrophy among Kidney Transplant Recipients by mRNA-Sequencing
4. Discussion In this study, we identified 34 DEGs related to IF/TA after kidney transplantation using NGS.
A Continual Learning Algorithm Based on Orthogonal Gradient Descent Beyond Neural Tangent Kernel Regime
Continual learning is an essential building block of real-time learning [1], [2], [3], [4] and artificial general intelligence [5]. Unlike the conventional batch learning (also referred to as offline learning in some contexts [6]), wherein neural networks are trained exclusively during the training phase and remain unaltered during the test time, continual learning involves the incremental training of a non-independent and identically distributed (Non-IID) sequence of tasks.
