1 Introduction Soybean (Glycine max L.) is a globally important crop that serves as a primary source of plant-based protein and oil for food, feed, and industrial applications (FAOSTAT 2023). China, the world's largest soybean consumer, accounting for approximately 30% of global production, relies on imports to satisfy over 80% of its domestic demand, equivalent to about 100 million tons annually (Wang et al. 2023).

Abstract Decadal changes in terrestrial surface wind speed since the 1960s have been extensively documented, while the mechanism and the extent of their impacts on terrestrial ecosystem productivity remain unclear. Here, we systematically explore the impacts of wind speed changes on terrestrial gross primary production (GPP) using satellite-derived data, reanalysis datasets, flux tower observations, CMIP6 models, and exploratory simulation experiments.
