What was your first job as a journalist?

I started my journalism career at Alaska Teen Media. I interviewed the director of the Anchorage International Film Festival.

Have you ever used a typewriter?

No, but I would love to one day.

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?

I usually just like to run pitches by my advisor or talk to an editor.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

I use Grammarly before I give the articles to the editor. I'm also comfortable in Premiere Pro, Adobe Audition, Zoom and Zencaster.

What's your favorite social network?

Twitter and Instagram

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

I was working on a school safety story before the pandemic hit. Although it never got published, I would love to continue doing research.
