Following THUNDERBOLTS*'s Release, Marvel Studios Has Revealed The First Posters For *THE NEW AVENGERS
The secret is officially out as Marvel Studios has shared a series of social media posts with posters for The New Avengers, the movie formerly(?) known as Thunderbolts*. This might seem premature so soon after opening weekend, but a video featuring the cast revealing the title change—clearly taken during the premiere—confirms this has been the plan for a while now. However, you've got to feel for Taskmaster actor Olga Kurylenko being included in the group shot, all things considered.
GEARS OF WAR: RELOADED Announced For Xbox, PS5, And PC; Releasing Summer 2025
Released in 2006, Gears of War was a groundbreaking third-person shooter from Epic Games that helped establish the Xbox gaming brand during the Xbox 360 era. Over the years, the Gears of War series has blossomed into one of Xbox's flagship franchises, although none of the sequels have truly managed to capture the magic of that original title.
THUNDERBOLTS* Writer Reveals Scrapped Post-Credits Scene And Baron Zemo's Scrapped Role In The Movie
In the comic books, Baron Zemo assembles the Thunderbolts when The Avengers go missing. However, while his team is secretly a group of supervillains masquerading as heroes, they eventually decided to put their evildoing ways behind them and became heroes. There have been other iterations of the group, but Marvel Studios' Thunderbolts* is very much its own thing.
CREATURE COMMANDOS Star Sean Gunn Reveals Which DCU Project He'll First Appear As Maxwell Lord In
While the majority of DCEU actors aren't part of DC Studios' DCU plans, The Suicide Squad star Sean Gunn has already landed multiple roles in the reboot being mapped out by his brother, James Gunn. The Guardians of the Galaxy standout stole the show last year in Creature Commandos as G.I. Robot and reprised his previous role, Weasel, as well.
Marvel's THUNDERBOLTS* Originally Included A Link To Jonathan Majors' Kang the Conqueror
It's been a long road for Marvel's Thunderbolts* to cinemas as the Hollywood Writers' Strike severely impacted the film's production schedule. As such, the extra time afforded extra time to polish the script, which saw three scribes apply their trade to the finished product: Eric Pearson (Thor: Ragnarok, Black Widow), Lee Sung Jin (Beef), and Joanna Calo (The Bear, Bojack Horseman).
More CLAIR OBSCUR: EXPEDITION 33? Developer Teases Strong Possibility Of Future DLC
Sandfall Interactive’s debut RPG, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, has made a powerful impression since its April 24, 2025 release, earning widespread acclaim. With a flawless 100% positive rating from 66 critic reviews on Metacritic, the game is already generating serious Game of the Year buzz. Unlike Baldur’s Gate 3, which famously skipped DLC despite its success, Clair Obscur may chart a different course.
SINNERS Box Office Continues To Surpass Expectations, Now Aiming for $400 Million+ Worldwide
At this point, can anything slow down Sinners? Even with Thunderbolts* out, Coogler's hit film raked in another $43M+ worldwide! The film is a clear example that even the experts sometimes get it wrong, as there were questions about the film's profitability during its first weekend of release. Dropping to 2nd place was #Sinners with strong $33M in 3rd wknd. Off just 28% despite losing all IMAX scrns, #SinnersMovie boosted domestic #boxoffice to $179.7M.
THUNDERBOLTS*: Taskmaster's Original Role In The Movie Has Been Revealed And It Will Blow Your Mind
We first met Taskmaster in Black Widow, with a third-act reveal that he was really a she: Antonia Dreykov, the daughter of the Red Room's twisted leader. She found redemption during the final act and, somewhere between then and Thunderbolts*, became a mercenary for Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. Olga Kurylenko only shows her face once in the movie and gets a single line of dialogue before she's gunned down by Ghost.

THUNDERBOLTS* Spoilers: Lewis Pullman Talks The Sentry's Ending, Post-Credits Scene, And AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY
Lewis Pullman earned an Emmy nomination for his work in Lessons in Chemistry, but the actor puts himself on the map in a big way with Marvel Studios' Thunderbolts*. His performance as Bob/The Sentry/The Void is superb, and the movie leaves the character in an interesting place when the credits roll. Thanks to the Thunderbolts, he manages to overcome the darkness within, but appears to have no memory of his journey through The Void.

How Much Did It Cost Val To Buy Avengers Tower In THUNDERBOLTS*? Property Expert Weighs In
We first visited Avengers Tower in 2012's The Avengers, with the skyscraper returning in Avengers: Age of Ultron three years later. However, by the time Spider-Man: Homecoming swung into theaters in 2016, Tony Stark had decided to sell the building. It being emptied by Happy Hogan was a major plot point in the reboot, with The Vulture attempting to steal Iron Man's many dangerous weapons during Homecoming's final act. Spider-Man ultimately thwarted his sinister plan.

"[It Was] A Hulk Thing...": THUNDERBOLTS* Writer Reveals U.S. Agent Was Originally The Movie's Main Villain

Marvel Studios Boss Kevin Feige Reportedly Believes MCU Has Become "More Like Homework Than Entertainment"
There was a time when it seemed Marvel Studios could do no wrong, but that's changed with the Multiverse Saga. The jam-packed past few years of storytelling have seen the MCU deliver its first "Rotten" movies and a handful of box office flops. There have been more hits than misses, but it's all played into the "superhero fatigue" narrative some Hollywood insiders are eager to peddle.
THUNDERBOLTS* Producer Hints That Geraldine Viswanathan's Mel Will Indeed Become Songbird
When word got out that Geraldine Viswanathan's Thunderbolts* character was named Mel, fans immediately began to speculate that she must be Melissa Gold, aka Songbird, but the movie doesn't really lay any groundwork for Val's assistant to suit-up down the line... or so we thought. During a new interview, Thunderbolts* producer Brian Chapek points to an "emblem" Mel wears that could indicate that she will eventually become the super-powered Songbird.
THUNDERBOLTS*: Sentry Creator Paul Jenkins Shares His Take On What's Next For Bob In The MCU
The Sentry is an incredibly complex character on the page, and Marvel Studios both embraced and added to that in Thunderbolts*. The Void became a way for the movie to explore mental illness and depression, but also established that the villain is incredibly dangerous. In Thunderbolts*'s post-credits scene, we learn that Bob has decided against using The Sentry again out of fear that he'll inadvertently unleash his darker half.
Carmella Talks More About Her Abrupt WWE Release: "I Was Upset And Hurt With How It Ended"
The last time we saw Carmella on WWE programming was when the former SmackDown Women's Champion Carmella faced Bianca Belair during a March 2023 episode of RAW. She initially took time off due to pregnancy but remains sidelined thanks to a nasty-sounding non-wrestling injury. Last year, Carmella (a.k.a. Leah Van Dale) confirmed that she was dealing with two herniated discs in her back, as well as issues in her foot, which are directly related to that problem.

Following SGT. ROCK's Cancelation, Is The DCU In Trouble? And Does DC Studios Need New Leadership?
Is DC Studios' DCU already in trouble? It feels like a question we've asked many times before, albeit with good reason. At the start of 2023, James Gunn and Peter Safran announced 10 new movies and TV shows; Creature Commandos has been released, Superman is right around the corner, and both Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow and Lanterns are in active production. The other six appear to be no closer to happening now than they were then. That's not an assumption either.

The movie ends with the hero leading the New Avengers alongside Yelena Belova.
Ranking Every MCU Multiverse Saga Movie According To Rotten Tomatoes (Including THUNDERBOLTS*)
Love or hate it, Rotten Tomatoes remains incredibly important when it comes to whether moviegoers decide to check out the latest releases in theaters. These days, it's not uncommon for studios to tout scores as proudly as star ratings. While the Marvel Cinematic Universe has delivered hit after hit since Iron Man was released in 2008, the Multiverse Saga has proven not even Marvel Studios is immune from the wrath of critics.

THUNDERBOLTS* Concept Art Reveals First Look At INVINCIBLE Star Steven Yeun As The Sentry
The Walking Dead and Invincible star Steven Yeun was originally cast as Bob in Thunderbolts*, meaning we'd have seen the actor eventually suit up as the MCU's Sentry. He had to drop out due to scheduling issues caused by 2023's Hollywood strikes, leaving Top Gun: Maverick and Lessons in Chemistry star Lewis Pullman to take over (and, fortunately, he does a phenomenal job). Now, some concept art of Yeun suited up as The Sentry has been revealed.
THE RAID 3 Is Back On Gareth Evans’ Mind After Meeting With Iko Uwais
As Gareth Evans promotes his new Netflix thriller, Havoc, his thoughts have drifted back to The Raid: Redemption, the 2011 martial arts film widely considered the decade's action movie benchmark. This groundbreaking film was followed by a respectable but less impactful sequel in 2014. Following The Raid 2, Evans became a sought-after talent, leading to numerous big-budget commitments that ultimately sidelined any concrete plans for The Raid 3.
THUNDERBOLTS* Director Reveals Huge Void Moments Cut From The Movie And Post-Credits Scene Spoilers
In Thunderbolts*, when Yelena Belova, U.S. Agent, and Valentina Allegra de Fontaine touch Bob, they're taken to their respective "shame rooms," where they're forced to revisit traumatic moments from their past. During the movie's final act, that becomes a little more literal when Yelena enters The Void and we're shown more of the memories that she's pushed down, along with The Sentry's. The rest of the team soon joins them, but only alludes to what they experienced. We never get to see it.
