4. Discussion In this study, we evaluated the established procedures using available data from the regional university hospital (a region with a population of approximately 1.2 million inhabitants). The aim was to outline an ideal model of the rehabilitation process and adequate rehabilitation capacity. Our findings and general recommendations for rehabilitation in the ICU have been incorporated into the care of our patients.
