Kevin Farge’s Country Love Song is a deliberately unwieldy object: 27 tracks that resist traditional album architecture in favor of something looser, more associative. It’s an attempt to map experience rather than structure it. That ambition pays off in texture rather than narrative cohesion. Recorded in Costa Rica, the album is saturated with environmental detail; ambient space, soft decay, and a sense of distance that makes even close-miked vocals feel slightly displaced.

Emerging Naarm/Melbourne outfit Damn Williams are stepping fully into focus with the announcement of their debut album Dog Summer, a 10-track collection that transforms suburban Australian imagery into surrealist indie-rock theatre. Spearheaded by Tasmanian songwriter Elliot Taylor, the project marks a significant evolution from bedroom songwriting experiment into a collaborative four-piece unit.
